Anna Tsartsari is co-founder and managing director of BE Design with 20 years of practical engineering design and management experience in the Construction Industry. She has played a significant role in growing the company from 5 members to 35 in 8 years and has worked for both public and private sector clients, largely specialising in retail, commercial, industrial and manufacturing sector projects. Anna is supporting a team of architects, civil and structural engineers and sustainability experts to create buildings that have sustainability principles at their heart, ensuring that climate resilience, wellbeing, biophilic and low carbon design meet with cost effective and value-adding approaches. Successful projects include a sustainable housing development in East Sussex, which is future proofed for the transition to Zero Carbon, millions of square feet of logistics buildings in the UK and Europe as well as a state of the art retail park in Northamptonshire, a number of Regeneration projects in the Olympic Park and Hyperscale Datacentres.
Anna works closely with local schools and universities through careers events and the offer of work experience placements for students, bringing young talent in the industry.
Maintaining a healthy mind, body and soul for a positive future is Anna’s mantra. Her positive attitude is infectious and her desire to lead the business along a route of healthy mind and healthy body are born out by the office yoga group, running club and 5-aside football evenings. Anna is the office’s charity champion and was also shortlisted for the Building Awards 2017, Woman of the Year.
