With 25 years’ rating experience, Vix originally worked with Westminster City Council and other central London billing authorities, including 10 years acting as prosecuting court officer in Magistrate Hearings and was the anti-rate evasion taskforce lead.
Entering private practice in 2012, she became a Partner at Allsop in 2017 and Head of Rating by 2019. During this time she focussed on landlord work including large-scale portfolio management and high end advisory work, including appeal work as far as the Upper Tribunal, and developed bespoke rate management solutions for a number of major property owners.
Vix has worked on major schemes including Angel Court and Gresham St Pauls in EC2, White Collar Factory in EC1, 25 Cabot Square in E14, the Brunel Building in W2, and former BBC Television Centre and White City Place in W12 and currently works on circa £600m of RV.
Whilst at Allsop she co-founded Women@Allsop, a focus group initially aimed at levelling the playing field for women that later because a diversity and inclusivity group focussed on cultural change. Since moving to Montagu Evans as Head of Landlord & Developer Rating in 2020, Vix continues to share her views and engages with the Women’s Leadership Programme and LGBTQ+ groups.
A passionate and outspoken leader, mother to 3 adult-ish humans and a small menagerie of animals, she is keen to share her experience and to encourage young women who are looking to take charge of their professional journeys.
