Kate is an architect with more than 20 years’ experience, she has recently joined multi-disciplinary practice Ridge LLP.
Kate has worked across a broad range of sectors including residential, commercial and heritage design. She has a keen interest in the interface between workplace design and organisational culture. During her career Kate’s role has extended beyond architecture to include project management and project recovery.
Kate is a passionate advocate of diversity. She conceived and implemented Tetra tech’s ‘25 by 2025’ D&I programme and established their gender equality team. She led their first UK mentoring programme which is now being implemented internationally. She also co-led the development of Tetra tech’s Social Value Strategy and specialises in designing bespoke, bid winning social value programmes.
In addition to her architectural qualifications Kate graduated top of her MBA year. She has used her analytical skills to instigate an annual analysis minimising architectural revenue loss, research and analyse client feedback and to implement a team pulse survey.
Outside of the working world Kate’s a keen road cyclist and is currently training for a Nordic walking ultra-marathon. She is also a member of a women’s running group and helps coordinate their social events calendar. She is a foodie who loves to cook and specialises in vegetarian food & baking.
